AML Foods Commemorates 10 Years of Feed 5000, Distributing $78,000 to Families in Need
January 28th, 2026
AML Foods Limited marked the 10th anniversary of its Feed 5000 initiative with the distribution of $78,000 in food vouchers to feeding organizations across New Providence, Grand Bahama, Exuma, and Eleuthera, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to fighting hunger in The Bahamas during the holiday season.
Funds were raised between November 3 and December 17, 2025, through a combined effort of corporate contributions and customer donations. AML Foods contributed $50,000, customers donated $22,500 at checkout across its retail brands, and Corporate Bahamas added $5,500. Beneficiaries included the Bahamas Feeding Network, the Grand Bahama Chapter of the Bahamas Red Cross, the Exuma Foundation, and The Salvation Army in Eleuthera.
Since its launch in 2016, Feed 5000 has raised more than $500,000, providing nearly 25,000 Christmas meals and supporting over 100,000 Bahamians. Reflecting on the milestone, Renea Bastian, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at AML Foods, said the program represents the company’s enduring commitment to uplifting communities through consistent, meaningful partnerships.
Speaking to the significance of long-term partnerships in addressing hunger, Nicolette Fountain, Executive Director of the Bahamas Feeding Network, emphasized the program’s far-reaching impact:
“Feed 5000 is more than a holiday initiative—it is a lifeline. For ten years, AML Foods has demonstrated what meaningful corporate citizenship looks like by standing consistently with organizations on the ground. Their commitment has helped ensure that families across our communities’ experience nourishment and hope during the holidays.
From the perspective of frontline service providers, the program continues to strengthen outreach efforts in Family Island communities as well. Commander Rudolph Meo, Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army, highlighted the tangible difference the initiative makes:
“Hunger does not take a holiday, and neither does the need for compassion. Support from AML Foods through Feed 5000 allows us to meet families where they are, especially in communities like Eleuthera, with care, dignity, and practical assistance. This partnership directly impacts lives said, Meo.”
As Feed 5000 enters its second decade, AML Foods remains focused on expanding its reach and continuing its mission of feeding hope across The Bahamas.
