AML Foods Limited Commences Demolition Work at Solomon’s Old Trail and Cost Right Nassau Sites
May 26th, 2025
AML Foods Limited announced today that demolition and debris removal work has officially begun at the sites of Solomon’s Old Trail and Cost Right Nassau, only six weeks after a devastating fire destroyed both locations.
The company is collaborating closely with the relevant government departments and authorities to ensure that the process moves forward on schedule and with minimal disruption to nearby schools, businesses, and residential areas. Priority will be given to accessing and removing any organic matter that remains in the building.
The full demolition and site clearing is expected to take up to 90 days to complete. AML Foods explained that, following the fire, an investigation was conducted and access to the site was restricted for roughly four weeks. Once access was granted, the company solicited contractor bids and obtained the necessary permits and approval allowing work to commence today.
“Our team responded incredibly quickly to this issue—they secured quotes, obtained approvals, and began work within two weeks,” noted Gavin Watchorn, CEO of AML Foods, “at the same time as we managed our other locations and launched our newest store in Eleuthera.”
AML Foods remains committed to transparent communication and responsible progress as they move forward with the cleanup and future rebuilding efforts, says Watchorn.
